Little Munchkin is almost a month old and we have finally settled into a routine. The majority of my pregnancy with her was difficult and so we didn't do much in the way of school. The beauty of homeschooling is we can design the schedule to accommodate our family. Before you get upset, Sweet Pea is in Kindergarten so we just did lots of play and free time (which for this age is NOT a bad thing) and second we are on a year round schedule so even taking a little longer break than initially planned it will not set us back.
I plan on sharing our fun and busy life as a home school family of seven.
Have a blessed day!

Almost a year later :)
So much for regularly posting on a blog. Our plans are not the Lord's and this last year has shown that. My FIL passed away a few days after my last post, tons of doctor's appointments for little man and all of his allergies, and then our huge surprise baby number five so things have changed. :-) Sweet Pea is officially starting K soon and we will get around 12 weeks done before the baby comes, take some time adjusting, do a couple of unit studies for Thanksgiving and Christmas, and then after the New Year pick back up. We are going to be one busy family this year! 5, 4, 3, 18 months, and a newborn.

Books, Books, and More Books
I am at my parent's house tonight and I checked out the books in the playroom. My mom kept tons of our books from us kids. I am so excited. Tons and tons of living books as Charlotte Mason calls them. I am taking the first batch home and will have to come back another day to get the rest. With Sweet Pea starting kindergarten this year they will come in handy. I even found a few of my favorite books that I thought had been given away years ago.

The Beginning
Life changes in the course of about six years. It's been a long time since I last blogged. So long ago that my original blogger account has long since been closed. I used it back when you could upload it to your own domain and publish posts via email. Way before Google took over it.
I am going to try it again. I can't promise I will post regularly but I am going to try. In the course of six years I got married and just recently had my fourth child. Yikes! Four, four and under...Sweet Pea, Peanut, Little Bit, and Little Man. Yes, while I may have my hands full I wouldn't change it for the world. They are blessings given to us from God.
We have been led by the Lord to homeschool our children. I would like to share some of what I have found with others. As you know I am quite busy so I don't know how often I will be able to post.
Have a blessed day!
